O POSITIVE - EARLY DAYS

The early 80s was an exciting time in the Boston Music Scene. Both college and mainstream radio stations were actively involved supporting new local music which propelled an Indie rock band's ability to build followings and pack venues on any given night of the week. This was an era when a young up-and-coming band with a decent demo tape could thrive in Boston with so many places welcoming and encouraging new bands to perform original material. O Positive hit the ground running during the emergence of electronic dance (Synth-pop), New wave, and Modern rock. Some of the first live shows O Positive ever played were at relatively prestigious venues that no longer exist. This page focuses on the early developmental days when O Positive was still in its infancy taking their "baby band" steps towards becoming a Boston Music Award winning Epic recording artist.
